FYI
Here is a message I sent to Malwarebytes.com - no response.
I have been plagued with the virus/malware where Chrome and MS Edge both reinstall themselves and start automatically. Kill them, uninstall them (RevoUninstaller), remove all registry stuff.
They still come back.
System totally unusable, menus don't work; lots of chrome processes.
I finally managed to disable their destructive behavior by killing both, replacing chrome.exe and msedge.exe with junk files so that "whoever" thinks they are still installed.
That worked, system then was usable.
Then I was told about Malwarebytes, so installed your free trial and your anti-rootkit. Ran both a couple times, restarting in between. Found several issues, until both then ran clean.
Sooooo, I unstalled Chrome and MSedge (they had remained installed with just the .exe files junked.
Wanted to see if Malwarebytes fixed the problem.
Whoever?? detected that I had removed Chrome/edge and I noticed via "Process Explorer" that ChromeInstaller.exe and GoogleUpdate.exe were running - doing their dirty deed.
I was denied seeing properties, but at least could see that windowsservicingtpm2.exe was a parent of ChromeInstaller.
I killed them and have junked them again.
As I have read "tpm2.exe" has to do with Windows updates so I obviously picked it up. Someone "loaned me" this Win10; I pretty much hate it and would never buy it.
I normally only use Linux. Windows 10 only for TurboTax.
