I had this on my pc.
you need to stop the Time service and delete its entry in HKLM system currentcontrolset services and delete the time folder in c:programdatamicrosoftwindows
Then start services.msc and change windows time back to auto start.

Thanks a lot Robert Archer for the solution. It works !

By Robert Archer Admirer 2013-07-05 08:11:39
for Jordi : to stop the Time service, you press ctrl-shift-esc to bring up the task manager. You then go to the services tab and when you find the service you want to stop in the list, you right-click on it and select "stop service".

Having experience with that file i can tell that as soon as it exists it is a virus or caused of an active rootkit (Windows Time bitcon Miner). The normal Windows Time DOES NOT RUN IN THIS FOLDER and does have a complete differnent name, checksum and does not restore itself when deleted (clearly rootkit behavior).
Also Sophos AntiRootkit detects this file as maliciously hidden.

Thank you all for these responses.
I was wondering why my computer was slower than normal.
Btw I did have to perform these steps:
- start up services and stop the service Time
- stop the processes Timeserver.exe, Time-svc.exe, Windows-time.exe
- remove the folder C:ProgramDataMicrosoftWindowsTime
- start regedit and search for the string "C:ProgramDataMicrosoftWindowsTime" and remove every key
- reboot the computer and verify that everything is removed

Yep, I had it too. No wonder bitcoin grows so fast =D
MSE didn't spot it.
Solutions as described by Robert and Anonymous worked for me. Found one registry in "HKLMSYSTEMControlSet002" as well.
Thanks
