I noticed that many of my system tray icons were missing. I tried to open Norton from both the shortcut & program list w/o success. I went into safe mode & was able to run both MBAM & Norton. MBAM found nothing; Norton found & resolved 8 tracking cookies. When I rebooted, every was fine. Norton log showed numerous attempts by gidd.exe to access kernel - all of which it said were blocked. They occurred at 5 sec. intervals.
