-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------By Alan Maziero 2012-04-20 06:05:55 As I always monitor the processes running on my system, I found suspicious when update_check.exe popped up from nowhere, inside a program folder that NEVER had that file.
Looking in the internet, I realized that it's always dropped on the first directory of Program Files folder. In my case, it had the misfortune of being laid on my ACDSee32 folder, that I use for years and know every file of it since Windows 95.
And today I discovered what program is triggering the creation of that file. I don't know if it's infected, or really have malicious intentions, but the fact is that when I open 'Full Video Converter Free' (http://www.full-video-converter.com/), the dammed update_check.exe is created on ACDSee's folder.
I send it to several online antivirus checkers and nothing was found, but I think it's extremely suspicious the fact of being disguised as another program update check!

I deleted a copy of update_check.exe from 'Full Video Converter Free' folder, and apparently it stopped of being copied to ACDSee's folder. :)
