-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------By Sean 2017-07-05 23:30:43 I ran into this file, BrDIArcv.exe when trying to install OCR software (PaperPort) from Brother on my Windows 10 64 bit machine. When I click on it, nothing happens. It is saying "No machines (device) found..." but it is installed and online. The BrDIArcv.exe was extracted out of PP12Downloader120.EXE which is a default download link from Brother here: http://support.brother.com/g/b/downloadlist.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=mfcl2740dw_us_eu_as&os=10013 (See PaperPort Install Tool).

By Dan 2018-11-09 22:15:08 Its an oem version of Nuance paperport an Optical Character Recognition (pull out text from a picture (scan) of text) program. It almost always only partly installs and never uninstalls (it misregisters its install pathways ). It would be an ok plugin if it wasnt old and an afterthought.
Ive seen paperport standalone work ok (its far from the best OCR program) but Brothers bundled version has been broken in all the years Ive seen it included.
