If you are updating your Samsung SH-222BB then you can get a trusted version of SH-222BB_SB02.exe from here:

I tried getting it from the Samnsung Chinese site but the site doesn't display properly on my rig, hence the alternative link above. After update my burner now works properly with AOne brand 16x DVD-R, and the firmware version (B02) is correctly listed under Nero. No hardware conflicts.
