This tread or page is useless and some one has to say what is PIRRIT and where it comes from!!!
Is this from C.I.A or F.B.I to check on people who serf the web?!

By mike 2014-02-13 22:21:01 Its a malware that installs itself in your internet browser and forcefully suggests internet sites,also ads pop ups.Thats my experience with it.
Avast can delete it with a browser clean up.

By Andrew Stow 2014-02-15 09:47:04 It is a virus. It restarts browsers and after it installs itself. It also blocks you from deleting its folder in your program files where it attaches itself. I can't use Chrome. Windows security is laughable and even paid services like Norton scan it as "safe".

By Nikolas 2014-02-19 21:12:36 Hey all. I had the same problem with you and I found out how to delete this annoying crap. First go to your C:/users/. There open the folder & search options and enable visibility of hidden files. Once you can see the hidden files, enter the folder with your user ID, then go to App Data, then Local, and there is the folder named pirrit suggestor. For example in my pc it is in C:/users/user/appdata/local/pirrit suggestor
Once you are in the folder you can manually click delete on it and it will not reappear. If it says the program is currently running, you will have to terminate it from the task manager before deleting it. Good luck!

By Jay C 2014-02-24 10:51:42 My wife was told by a work colleague about 'C-Cleaner' program, It is developed by Pirrit. She installed C-Cleaner on my laptop and the Pirrit-Suggestor was automatically stitched into my files. Along with one or two other 'services'. It changed my connection settings, browser settings and threw unwanted pop-ups in my face. AVOID C-Cleaner & Pirrit. If program uninstall doesn't work, follow the method suggested by Nikolas.

By Tony 2014-03-07 00:26:12 Hi Nikolas. Pirrit will not delete the way you suggested, requires permission even though I am administrator it will not accept permission. AVG also allows this as safe. It is a total pain. Could it be disabling Adobe Flash player as well?

By Hans 2014-03-30 09:31:03 Download Erase. Close your computer and restart it and push in the black screen F8. Choose Safe Mode. Type "msconfig" go to services and disable pirrit in the list. Choose I will restart later. Open my computer. Look in C in Program files(x86) remove the map pirrit.
Look also in the map Windows, search in this one for Temp. Open it and remove Pirrit to. Go back to my computer and let it search for
pirrit. Remove everything you find. When it is difficult to remove use Erase. After this empty the Recycle Bin. Restart yuor computer.
